Brian Lisus is an highly regarded luthier that grew up and worked in South Africa. He learned his art at the Newark School of Violin Making in England in the mid 1970s and has been perfecting his craft ever since. His instruments are played professionally worldwide.

This cello, made in 2003, and named "Mischa" is a modified Montagnana model. the body length is slightly shorter than most Stradivarius models but it's also wider and deeper. The varnish is a beautiful light honey colored. Reminiscent of the early Amati family varnish.

Truly a soloist and professional cello, this instrument can be the lifelong companion for an avid cellist. It has a brilliant tone that is balanced with a rich C and G.
